Today we rode up 101 into WA. East on 401 to 4. Continued on 4 to I5 south back into Portland OR. Ended up in Oxbow campground near Sandy OR.
We stopped in Pacific City off of 101 to see and get some pictures of Haystack Rock. This rock is 325 ft tall and supposed to be the forth largest in world not accessible by land on beach.
Next stop was Cannon Beach to see and take pictures of another Haystack Rock. This one is 235 ft tall and is third largest in world that is connected to land at low tide. Both were pretty impressive. Oregon has beautiful sandy beaches.
There are little stands where you can buy smoked seafood. So we had smoked salmon and smoked oysters for breakfast. As we were riding along we saw the Tillamook Country Smoker outlet store. They smoke meats and jerky. Love jerky and first time I ever saw an outlet store for it. Stocked up on jerky and pepperoni sticks for the trip north. Really good prices.
