Day 75 June 11th

We decided to leave the trailers with most of our gear in Whitehorse Yukon Canada because of plans to ride a lot of dirt/gravel roads in Alaska. Had arrangements with a Tenere forum member. While doing our laundry found out thaw we were past his place. Had an offer from Adam to drop at his place which was on the way. Dropped off and continued on with Dawson City as our destination for the night. On arrival Jerry had me ride his bike to listen for a clicking noise. Sure enough there was one. I went and found the campground and we set up for the night with plans to look at his bike in the morning.
When camping in Whitehorse we were camped right next to Nate and Jimmie who we had met a couple of days earlier in Stewart BC. Had a good visit with them and they were off next day to same destination in Alaska as we were along a different route. May see them again on the haul road.
355 miles today

  1. Dave and Jerry. We are in Deadhorse now. Staying at a place called Deadhorse camp. Its the cheapest place up here and pretty cool actually. Its where the workers stay. Road in is interesting. Probably good you guys dropped your trailers. Road is totally do able but be ready for all road conditions as you will get the gambit. This road is by far well worth the stress however because it offers the best views by far of any to this point.
